1st Lt Donovan A. Smith

Assistant Operations Officer

1st Lt Donovan A. Smith is an Assistant Operations Officer for the McChord Composite Squadron. As an Assistant Operations Officer 1st Lt Smith assists in managing and directing all operations (search and rescue, disaster relief, and counter drug, if applicable) activities, coordination of operational activities with other staff agencies and interested parties, as well as the development, evaluation operations policies and procedures necessary.

1st Lt Smith joined the Civil Air Patrol in 2017 as a Senior Member in Renton Composite Squadron (PCR-WA-019). He also serves as an Assistant Activities Officer, and Assistant Squadron leadership Officer. 1st Lt Smith is currently an active duty captain in the US Air Force, and the Commander of the 62nd Maintenance Operations Squadron at Joint Base Lewis McChord.
