22 Feb 2014 - State Recognition Round Competition Information for 22 February 2014:

  • Arrival time: 800
  • Training and preparations: 800-1000
  • Start time: 1000
  • End time: 1600
  • Location: McChord Main Conference Room
  • Uniform: BDUs with CyberPatriot Black T-Shirt as undershirt
  • Pepperoni pizza and water will be provided
  • Snacks may be brought to share with teammates.

15 Dec 2013 - For Round 2, we scored 100 points. We are tied for 158th in the All Services Division along with 9 Air Force JROTC, 1 Army JROTC, 3 Civil Air Patrol teams, 1 Marine Corp JROTC, and 1 Navy JROTC teams.

  • There were a total of 383 All Services teams competed in Round 2.
  • We were one of 127 Civil Air Patrol teams competed in Round 2.
  • We are tied for 45th in Civil Air Patrol with 100 points.
  • The highest score for Civil Air Patrol was 250 points.
  • One Air Force JROTC achieved the highest score of 260 points in All Services Division.

30 Nov 2013 - After Round 1 of the competition, we are tied for 116th overall with 11 other teams in 408 All Services division teams. We are tied for 37th out of 136 Civil Air Patrol teams. Preparations are being made to compete in Round 2 on 7 December. Here are the details:

3 Nov 2013 - Just want to remind CyberPatriot cadets that there will be a training session next Sunday, 10 November 2013. This is our final training before Round 1 of the competition.

11 Oct 2013 - Just want to remind CyberPatriot cadets that there will be a training session this Saturday, 12 October 2013. This date was added so the team has additional time to experience the "Practice Round" of the competition. I understand that many of you may not be able to make this session due to prior commitment.

25 Sept 2013 - News updates as sent out via email: Here are some pertinent information:

  1. Our kick off training on 24 September 2013 went well. We had roughly 1.5 hours together.
  2. The training time scheduled for 28 September 2013 has been moved to morning as follows:
    • Arrival time: 830
    • Start time: 900
    • End time: 1200
    • Location: McChord Small Conference Room on the south side of the building
    • Uniform: Blues
    • Other: Please bring jacket as the building temperature may be a bit wacky/uncomfortable
  3. We need to pick a team captain. Be thinking about whether or not you want to serve in this position. You will need support from your team. I will make the final decision.
  4. Our training times are limited so it is necessary for you to prepare yourself outside the meeting times. The team's success also depends on your efforts.   5. I may add an additional weekend for training. Some of you may be gone to Hill AFB visit on the weekend of the 19th hence the addition. Please confirm your availability for the following dates:

    • 19 October 2013 for 6 hours - CyberPatriot Practice Round

Tacoma, WA 23 Apr 2013 - Cadets received briefings on the up-coming CyberPatriot VI. Mr. Scott Whitman will be serve as the team mentor. Mr. Whitman is one of the cadet's parents at the squadron. Tacoma, WA, 23 Feb 2013 - McChord pre-registers for CyberPatriot VI. Lt Mon Boonprohm starts the process to once again bring team McChord back to CyberPatriot competition. The inaugural season at the CyberPatriot V went well but there are lots of room for improvements. The coach has three goals for this second season. 1) improve participation and be able to provide cadets with more education and training, 2) enhance their Cyber security posture so they can keep themselves safe, 3) be more competitive in the competition, 4) plant seeds for the next generation of Cyber Warriors. McChord cadets interested in joining the team are to contact Lt Boonprohm at mboonpr@gmail.com. A parent of cadet has already expressed interest in help the team.
