Greetings,

The Speaker of the House announced this morning that Civil Air Patrol will officially receive the Congressional Gold Medal at 3 p.m. Dec. 10 at Statuary Hall in the U.S. Capitol. The ceremony will honor CAP’s founding members, whose valor and dedication during World War II thwarted the enemy and saved countless lives. A CAP news release is attached with details about the presentation and a gala dinner on the evening of Dec. 10 in which attending World War II-era members and family members of deceased members will receive replica bronze medals.
